A new discovery in GTA Online has sparked speculation that Jimmy De Santa could return in GTA VI.
Insider Tez2 reported that a hidden SMS message from Jimmy was found in the latest update, but appears to have been disabled by Rockstar before release.
In the text, Jimmy allegedly says:
"Did you meet my parents?? Wtf I tell them I'm moving out of state and they immediately go looking for a replacement kid? Ugh whatever. Welcome to the family I guess?"
At the same time, Amanda De Santa also mentions in the update’s first cutscene:
"Our son is finally moving out."
Rockstar reportedly intended to send this message to all players who own arcades, but the SMS was removed shortly before the update went live. Tez2 claims the message only appeared due to a bug.
Because GTA VI takes place in a different state, fans believe this could be a subtle hint that Jimmy may eventually appear in the new game. Some even speculate the update was originally meant to release closer to GTA VI, acting as a small narrative bridge before the delay shifted Rockstar’s plans.
Nothing is confirmed, but it definitely feels like the kind of quiet teaser Rockstar loves to hide in plain sight.
