Rockstar Games has officially announced another delay for Grand Theft Auto VI, with the highly anticipated game now scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026. The news came through the studio’s official channels, reaffirming that additional time is needed to polish the game to the level players expect.
The new date marks a second major shift in GTA VI’s timeline. After initially targeting a 2025 release window and then moving to May 26, 2026, Rockstar has pushed the launch back again as development continues.
"We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.
We want to thank you again for your patience and support.
While the wait is a little longer, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the sprawling state of Leonida and a return to modern day Vice City."
The message emphasized gratitude toward the community and reiterated the developer’s commitment to quality — a familiar theme in past updates as Rockstar continues to refine the project.
