The long-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI might arrive sooner than fans expect!
During its latest financial report on Thursday, February 6, 2025, Take-Two Interactive officially confirmed that GTA VI will be released before Borderlands 4, which now has a fixed launch date - September 23, 2025. This strongly suggests that Grand Theft Auto VI could hit the shelves in early or mid-September 2025!
Rockstar Games is Preparing for Launch
That’s not the only reason fans believe the release might come earlier than expected. Recently, Rockstar Games has shown an unusual level of activity for the studio.
- For the first time ever, Rockstar Games launched an official Discord server, featuring a dedicated chat for GTA VI discussions.
- The company has also started actively hiring marketing specialists to promote GTA VI.
Both moves haven’t gone unnoticed, and fans are convinced this could be the start of a massive marketing campaign leading up to the game’s launch.
When Could GTA 6 Actually Release?
According to Take-Two’s updated release schedule, GTA VI is set to launch before Borderlands 4, while Mafia: The Old Country is expected to arrive in late summer.
Since Take-Two typically avoids releasing major titles too close to each other, it’s reasonable to assume that GTA VI might arrive in late October or early November 2025.
Still — who knows? Rockstar might just surprise everyone and release it earlier than anyone expects.
