Insider and journalist Tom Henderson has suggested that the next GTA VI trailer could release on August 6, potentially lining up with Take-Two’s next major financial report.
Following Take-Two’s recent confirmation that GTA VI is still planned for November 2026, the company also made it clear that the full marketing campaign will begin in summer. That immediately raised the big question - when does Rockstar start dropping real content again?
Henderson believes Rockstar and Take-Two could choose early August because it’s close to the publisher’s first earnings call for fiscal year 2027. Dropping a new trailer right before (or on the same day) would be a classic move to boost hype and keep investors excited.
On Reddit, opinions are split. Some fans think a few months of marketing is more than enough for GTA VI. Others argue Rockstar will need more time to build momentum and could release the next trailer earlier than expected.
Nothing is confirmed, but if marketing truly begins late summer, August 6 is now one of the dates to watch.
