Recent discussions around GTA VI leaks are once again pointing toward a more grounded and realistic gameplay approach. One of the most interesting details from the 2022 leaks suggests that players will no longer carry an entire arsenal in their pockets.
Instead, car trunks will play a key role. Weapons will need to be stored in the trunk, meaning your choice of vehicle could matter more than ever. If you want access to heavy firepower, you will need to plan ahead and keep it nearby.
This idea will feel familiar to fans of Red Dead Redemption 2, where weapons were stored on the player’s horse rather than magically appearing at all times. Rockstar clearly liked that system, and it looks like they are adapting it for a modern open world in GTA VI.
Leaks also mention a duffel bag that can serve a similar purpose, giving players more flexibility when moving around on foot.
All of this points to GTA VI leaning further into realism. The big question now is whether fans are ready for a slower, more thoughtful style of gameplay compared to previous entries.
