The GTA community is once again watching Rockstar closely after an unusual scheduling change tied to the upcoming GTA Online winter update.
According to insider Tez2, the new update titled “The Hillside Safehouse” was originally planned for Tuesday, December 9, which fits Rockstar’s long-standing tradition of releasing major updates on Tuesdays.
However, Rockstar reportedly moved the update to Wednesday, December 10 - marking the first time since 2021 that a major update doesn’t follow the usual Tuesday schedule.
Some players believe Rockstar may have intentionally freed up Tuesday for something bigger - possibly a new GTA VI announcement, a trailer, or even pre-order news.
Of course, it could also be a simple technical delay. But given how closely Rockstar plans its releases, even a one-day shift is enough to get the community speculating.
For now, it’s just a theory - but it’s definitely one worth keeping an eye on.
